Please see Additional Information section below.*** You will serve as a CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Planning, Design and Construction of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND MARIANAS. This position is also subject to a Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) and Non-Foreign Post Differential (NFPD) currently set at 11.88% and 13.12%, respectively. COLA and NFPD are subject to change without notice.
Major duties
- You will serve as a senior experienced and independent construction manager and provides expert construction management services to all activities and tenants served by the Facilities Engineering Command (FEC).
- You will provide assistance and technical guidance to construction managers, construction engineers/architects, NAVFAC business/support lines, leading in the execution of Capital Improvements construction projects.
- You will be responsible for enforcement of all technical and administrative provisions of assigned construction contracts.
- You will be responsible for design-bid-build and design-build projects, reviewing pre-final contract drawings and specifications (including technical RFPs) with respect to constructability and compatibility with actual field conditions.
- You will participate in pre-award contract meetings such as Functional Analysis Concept Development (FACDs) meetings and constructability reviews.
- You will coordinate post-award contract meetings, preconstruction conferences, partner meetings, schedule acceptance meeting, design review meetings, LEED coordination meetings, Facility Turnover Planning Meetings and final inspections.
- You will represent as the technical representative in matters involving contract modifications and claims.
