Summary
You will serve as a Materials Handler of NAVSUP FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER NORFOLK located with Earle Ammunition Depot in Leonardo, NJ Pier Side location
Major duties
- You will receive freight accompanied by appropriate documents from both commercial and government agencies.
- You will unload materials and equipment using forklifts, hydraulic floor jacks, hand carts or other material handling equipment normally used in warehouse operations.
- You will assist supervisor in planning, storage and arrangement of stored material ensuring efficient utilization of space and adherence to regulations.
- You will check depot level repair materials against documents, reviews for errors, and obtains signatures as required for tracking and auditing purposes.
- You will be responsible for receiving and issuing stock and general consumables and operating supplies for various customers.
- You will ensure safe receipt, storage, and movement of HAZMAT according to prescribed procedures.
