About the Position: This position is located at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center's Department of Radiology Nuclear Medicine Section in Bethesda, MD. Duty hours will range within 0700 to 1600 with 1 hour lunch. On-call will vary after training. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Major duties

• Maintain documentation for regulatory agency compliance within the Nuclear Medicine section.
• Provide training to both military and civilian technologists and to students, nuclear medicine fellows, radiology and nuclear pharmacy residents.
• Prepare appropriate doses of radiopharmaceutical compounds to be used in specific diagnostic procedures.
• Perform quality control procedures to ensure pharmaceutical quality of agents before administering to patients.
• Administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients either intravenously, orally or by inhalation.
• Operate imaging equipment, such as SPECT/ PET/CT in accordance with operation manuals.
• Provide imaging studies with the use of radiopharmaceuticals for doctors to use in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide variety of defects and/or diseases.
