Summary
This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Major duties
- You will serve as a firefighter who works to control and extinguish fires, rescue persons endangered by fire, and reduce or eliminate potential fire hazards..
- You will respond to fire and hazardous materials incidents; detection of the presence of hazardous materials, secures the area, identify the hazardous material, control further spills mitigating further danger and coordinating clean-up procedures.
- You will perform combat fires and rescue personnel on ships and vessels. by suppressing wildfires using heavy-duty vehicles/equipment, and/or constructing fire lines in hazardous conditions.
- You will initiate established medical protocols in providing basic life support.
- You will perform the following Technical Rescue functions: rope, vehicle and machinery, confined space, structural collapse, and wilderness.
- You will comply with health, safety, and environmental rules and procedures and performs work in a manner that enhances the safety of the work environment.
- You will select and apply the proper techniques or procedures for fire suppression and emergency situations.
- You will maintain firefighting equipment and fire station facilities. Performs functional tests and inspections.
