JOBnaru™ API Terms
Effective 2026-10-19.
These terms apply to the JOBnaru™ JSON API (/api/v1), the MCP server (/mcp), API keys and any data files offered with them (together, the "API"), and to all job listings, company information, classifications, summaries and other content obtained through the API or by copying it from jobnaru.com (the "Data"). JOBnaru™ is operated by an individual (sole proprietor) under the brand JOBnaru™ ("we", "us"). By calling the API, creating an API key or using the Data you ("you") agree to these terms and to our Terms of Service. If these terms conflict with the Terms of Service, these terms control for the API and the Data. Terms of Service →
1. Free non-commercial use, with attribution
You may use the API free of charge for personal, research, educational, news and other non-commercial purposes:
- Without a key, within the anonymous limits in section 6 — for example to look up a job, or for an AI assistant answering a user's question.
- With a Developer key, which you get by choosing the Developer role in your JOBnaru™ account and accepting these terms. A key is personal to you and your project; you must not share, sell or publish it. Get a free Developer key →
Attribution is a condition of every use: wherever you show, quote or summarize the Data, show your users the name "JOBnaru™" with a visible link to the page URL given in each result (url or cite), for example "Source: JOBnaru™ (https://jobnaru.com/jobs/…)". Do not remove or hide attribution, and do not suggest that we endorse you.
2. Sources and no warranty
The Data come from jobs that employers post on JOBnaru™, from jobs published on companies' own public career sites (each linked to its original posting), from public news and government sources, and from our own compilation, classification and review. Job details — including pay, visa sponsorship, Korean-language requirements and deadlines — are as stated by the employer or the original posting, and jobs change or close without notice. We do not employ, recruit for or represent any employer, and we do not guarantee a job, an interview or a visa. THE API AND THE DATA ARE PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. Always confirm job details with the employer and immigration matters with official sources or a qualified attorney.
3. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM THE API OR THE DATA. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE API IS LIMITED TO US$50.
4. Commercial use — only with a separate written license
You must not use the Data or the API commercially unless we have first signed a separate written commercial license with you. A free key, the Developer role or the absence of a technical block is not permission.
What counts as commercial use
Any use of the Data or the API, directly or indirectly, that earns money, supports a business or is offered by a business, including:
- a paid or advertising-supported product, service, app, website, newsletter, report, course or software;
- a job board, job aggregator, job search engine, job alert service or company directory — paid or free — run by or for a business;
- work for clients or customers, for example as a staffing, recruiting or headhunting agency, employment or visa consultant, career coach, sourcing service or marketing agency;
- a lead-generation, CRM, marketing or sales tool, or enriching your own customer or prospect data — for example lists of companies that are hiring;
- a dataset, database, data feed or API that includes the Data, whether sold, licensed or given away;
- an AI product or model offered commercially, including fine-tuning or retrieval systems built on the Data;
- reselling, sublicensing, redistributing or publishing the Data in bulk.
What is not commercial use
- an individual job seeker's own job search;
- academic research or teaching at a school or university, with attribution, that does not republish the Data in bulk;
- a news article, or an AI assistant's or search engine's answer to a user's question, that quotes or summarizes the Data with a link to our page;
- a free, non-commercial tool for job seekers or a community group that does not copy the Data in bulk and shows attribution.
If you are unsure, treat your use as commercial and ask us first.
How to get a commercial license
- Sign in and send us a message with the topic "Commercial data license": who you are, your company, what you want to build and which Data you need. Send a message →
- We review your use. We may decline any request, and we do not license use that competes with JOBnaru™.
- If we agree, we sign a written license that sets the permitted use, fees, attribution and limits.
- We then issue a commercial key. Any bulk data is available only under a commercial license.
5. Never allowed, with or without a license
- Building or feeding a job board, job aggregator, job search engine or company directory that competes with JOBnaru™, or reposting JOBnaru™ job listings on another job site.
- Bulk copying, scraping or crawling of the API or jobnaru.com to reproduce or redistribute job listings or other Data, or circumventing limits — for example by using many keys, accounts or IP addresses.
- Reselling, sublicensing or redistributing the Data, or removing attribution.
- Combining the Data with other information to identify, profile or contact individual job seekers, applicants or employees, or contacting employers through the Data for unsolicited marketing or recruiting-agency solicitation.
6. Access levels and rate limits
| Access | Who | Per hour | Per day |
|---|---|---|---|
| No key | Anyone, counted per IP address | 40 | 300 |
| Developer | Developer role, non-commercial | 300 | 3,000 |
| Partner | Non-commercial integrations we approve | 1,000 | 10,000 |
| Commercial | Signed commercial license only | 3,000 | 50,000 |
Hourly windows reset at the top of each hour and daily windows at 00:00 UTC. Requests over a limit receive HTTP 429. List results without a key are capped per request and per query. We may change limits and will post changes on the developer page.
7. Enforcement, suspension and termination
We may change, limit or discontinue any part of the API. If you breach these terms we may revoke your keys and accounts and block your access at any time, without notice. Unlicensed commercial use or a breach of section 5 entitles us to seek damages, including the license fees you would have paid and any profits you made from the Data, and an injunction, and you will reimburse our reasonable costs of enforcement, including attorneys' fees. You will defend and indemnify us against claims arising from your use of the Data in breach of these terms. Sections 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 survive termination.
8. Governing law
These API terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Texas. If any part is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
