How to post a job on JOBnaru™: free listing, automatic check, pricing and what to avoid
JOBnaru™ is a job board for the Korean-American community in the U.S. Job seekers search by state, category, visa and Korean language, and many set daily email alerts. Posting is free; paying only moves your job higher. This guide walks you through it.
1. Before you start
- No sign-up needed first. If you are not signed in, enter your email at the end and tap the link we send — that posts the job and creates your free account (the link is valid for 3 days). Signed-in employers post directly.
- Have ready: job title, company name and website, city and state (or remote), job type, a description, how to apply (link, email or phone) and — ideally — the pay range.
- One job per post. If you hire for several roles or locations, post them separately so each shows up in the right filters.
2. Fill in the form
Go to Post a job. The form has 5 short steps. Already have an ad? Paste it in and the form fills itself in — then check each step, because the fill-in can miss or misread details. The form asks for:
- Title and company. Use a title job seekers search for ("Maintenance Technician", "Accounting Manager"), not internal codes.
- Category and location. These power the state and category filters. Choose remote only if the job really is.
- Job type, workplace and experience level.
- Visa. Choose Visa sponsorship available, OPT / CPT welcome, U.S. work authorization required or leave it not stated. Choose only what you mean — job seekers rely on it.
- Korean language. Required, a plus or not needed. Many of our users are bilingual; this is how they find you.
- Pay. Minimum, maximum and unit (hour, week, month, year).
- How to apply. A link to your application page, an email address or a phone number — at least one. JOBnaru™ sends applicants to you; we do not collect applications.
- Description (at least 30 characters, and in practice much more): duties, requirements, schedule, benefits, location details.
You can write the description in English, Korean or both. A short English summary helps bilingual and non-Korean applicants.
3. Automatic check and going live
Every new or edited post goes through an automatic check. Clean posts go live immediately. Posts with warning signs are held and checked by our team before going live, usually within one business day. Warning signs include asking applicants for money, fees or deposits; check, gift-card or crypto transfers; asking for an SSN or bank details; commission-only or MLM work; adult or nightlife work; discriminatory wording; and link shorteners. We may still remove posts that break our rules or are reported.
Verified employer badge (optional). Verify your company email to get a ✔ verified employer badge and to manage your company page.
A free listing runs 30 days. A few days before it ends, we email you a keep it up 30 more days button — one tap, free, no sign-in, as many times as you need. You can also renew from My jobs, where you can edit the job or close it when filled. If you do nothing, the job closes by itself.
4. Top placement (optional)
| Product | Price per 30 days | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Premium Plus | $299 | Top of every job list and the home page, with logo and highlight |
| Power Link | $199 | Pinned right under Premium in its category and state lists |
| Photo listing | $49 | Logo or photo and bold title in the list |
- Each placement runs 30 days at a time — the same price every 30 days, with no long-term discounts.
- Pay by card through Stripe. JOBnaru™ does not see or store your card number.
- Paid placements are always labeled. They change position, never the filters or the facts on the job page.
- Refunds: full refund if you cancel before the placement starts. After it starts, contact us — see the help page.
Choose placement from My jobs → Feature next to your job. Details are on the employer page.
5. Include a pay range
Twelve jurisdictions — California, Colorado, Washington, New York, Hawaii, Maryland, D.C., Illinois, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont and Massachusetts — require many employers to include a good-faith pay range in job postings, including postings on job boards. If your job is in one of these states and has no range, JOBnaru™ shows a reminder. Read pay transparency laws. Even where it is not required, jobs that show pay get found through the "shows pay" filter.
6. What not to put in a job post
U.S. laws enforced by the EEOC and the Justice Department's Immigrant and Employee Rights Section limit what a job ad may say. This is a general guide, not legal advice — check with an employment attorney if unsure.
Avoid:
- National origin or ethnicity preferences: "Koreans only", "Korean nationals preferred", "Asian candidates".
- Citizenship limits such as "U.S. citizens only" or "green card holders only", unless a law, regulation or government contract requires it.
- Age limits or hints: "under 35", "young", "recent graduates only" as a requirement, birth year.
- Sex or marital status: "female preferred", "married men".
- Requests for a photo, birth date, national ID or SSN with the application.
- Asking applicants to pay anything — including for training, uniforms or background checks. Our automatic check holds such posts, and we remove them.
Fine when true and job-related:
- "Korean language required" or "Korean a plus" for work that uses Korean.
- "Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; we are unable to sponsor visas."
- "This employer participates in E-Verify."
- Physical requirements, shift schedules, licenses and certifications the job really needs.
Remember that after hiring you will verify work authorization with Form I-9, and with E-Verify if you use it — in the same way for every new hire.
7. Tips for more applicants
- Put the pay and location in the first lines.
- Say clearly whether you sponsor visas or accept OPT.
- Keep the title short and searchable.
- Update or close the job as soon as it is filled.
- Ask JOBnaru™ for help through the contact page.
Our company pages show all of an employer's jobs in one place. Ready? Post a job — it is free.

Questions
Is posting a job on JOBnaru™ really free?
Yes. A standard listing is free for 30 days. A few days before it ends we email you a one-tap button to keep it up 30 more days, free, as often as you like. You pay only if you choose top placement.
Do I need to sign up before posting?
No. Fill in the form, enter your email and tap the link we send — the job is posted and your free account is created. The link is valid for 3 days. Signed-in employers post directly.
Is my job checked before it goes live?
Every new or edited post goes through an automatic check. Clean posts go live right away. Posts with warning signs — such as asking applicants for money or an SSN, commission-only work or link shorteners — are held and checked by our team before going live, usually within one business day.
How much does top placement cost?
Premium Plus is $299, Power Link $199 and Photo listing $49, each per 30 days. Payment is by card through Stripe, and paid placements are always labeled.
Can I write "Korean speakers only" or "Korean nationals preferred"?
You can require Korean language skills if the job really needs them — mark it as Korean required or a plus. You should not limit a job by national origin, citizenship status (unless required by law), age, sex or similar traits.
