Help & FAQ
What is JOBnaru™?
JOBnaru™ is a job board for the Korean-American community in the United States. You can search jobs by state, category, visa and Korean language, save jobs, get daily email alerts and ask questions in Korean or English with Ask JOBnaru™. JOBnaru™ is an independent job board, not an employer, staffing agency or government agency.
Is JOBnaru™ free for job seekers?
Yes. Searching, applying, saving jobs, email alerts and Ask JOBnaru™ are free for job seekers, and you do not need an account to browse. JOBnaru™ never charges job seekers — if anyone asks you to pay to apply, read job scam warning signs and report it to us.
Where do the jobs come from?
Two places: employers who post directly on JOBnaru™ (an employer's first post is reviewed by a person), and the public job boards and career sites of companies such as Samsung Semiconductor, SK hynix, LG, Hyundai, Kia, Coupang and Moloco. Collected jobs link back to the original posting and are removed soon after they close there. See all companies.
How do I apply for a job?
Press Apply on the job page. It takes you to the employer's own application page or email. JOBnaru™ counts the click but does not receive, see or store your application, so follow up with the employer directly.
How do saved jobs and daily alerts work?
Sign in (free) and press Save on any job; saved jobs are in My jobs. To get alerts, search with the filters you want and create an alert. We send at most one email a day, only when new jobs match. You can delete an alert at any time from the same page.
What do the visa filters mean?
Visa sponsorship available — the posting says the employer can sponsor. OPT / CPT welcome — the posting says students on OPT or CPT may apply. U.S. work authorization required — you must already be allowed to work in the U.S. Visa: not stated — the posting does not say; this is the most common value and is not a "no". The filter reflects the posting, not a promise. See jobs that mention sponsorship and our H-1B basics.
What do the Korean language and "Korean companies only" filters do?
Korean required and Korean a plus come from the posting (for collected jobs, we set them only when the wording is clear). Korean companies only shows jobs at Korean companies and their U.S. affiliates, whether or not the job needs Korean. Try Korean required or Korean companies only.
What is the pay flag on some jobs?
California, Colorado, Washington, New York, Hawaii, Maryland, D.C., Illinois, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont and Massachusetts require many employers to include a pay range in job postings. When a job in one of these places has no range, we show a note. It is information, not a legal finding — size thresholds and exceptions vary. Read pay transparency laws, or use the shows pay filter.
How do I post a job?
Create a free account, then go to Post a job. Enter the title, company, category, location, how to apply and a description — ideally with a pay range. A standard listing is free for 30 days. Read how to post a job on JOBnaru™ for what to include and what to avoid.
How long does review take?
An employer's first job is reviewed by a person, usually within one business day. After you have an approved job, new posts usually go live right away. We may still review, edit for format or remove posts that break our rules or the law.
How much does top placement cost, and are there discounts?
Premium Plus is $500, Power Link $450 and Photo listing $99, each per 30 days. Booking 3 months or more takes 10% off; 6 months or more gives one month free. Payment is by card through Stripe. Paid placements are always labeled and never change filters or the facts on the job page. See the employer page.
Can I get a refund for a paid placement?
Yes — a full refund if you cancel before the placement starts. After it has started, please contact us and we will look at your case. If we cannot show your placement as booked, or we remove a job that followed our rules, we refund the unused period.
How do I edit, close or renew a job?
Go to My jobs. Each job has Edit, Close (use it when the role is filled) and Renew (another 30 days). Paid placement can be added from the same page.
How do I report a suspicious job?
Send the job link and what worries you through our contact page. We review reports and remove jobs that ask job seekers for money, ask for sensitive data up front or misrepresent the employer. If you lost money, also report to the FTC at ReportFraud.ftc.gov and to your bank.
What personal data does JOBnaru™ keep?
Only what we need to run your account — your email, saved jobs, alerts and, for employers, your job posts and payment records (card numbers are handled by Stripe, not us). We do not see your applications. You can manage or delete your data from your account; see the privacy policy.
What is the "views by people and AI assistants" counter?
Every page shows how many times people and AI assistants (such as AI search and chat tools) read it in the last 30 days. It is a count only — no names, IP addresses or accounts are shown. More on the AI visibility page.
Does Ask JOBnaru™ give legal or immigration advice?
No. Ask JOBnaru™ answers from our job list, company pages, glossary and guides, and links to the pages it used. It cannot promise a job or a visa. For your own case, check official sources such as uscis.gov and talk to an immigration attorney.
